inspired by flamboyan trees.

they bloom in the summer, and i admire them on my everyday commutes. i see them alongside roads and highways, but only get to enjoy them from afar and a few seconds at a time before i drive on by.

i materialized these transient moments of summer joy in this series of paintings. i hope they serve as a reminder to find and appreciate small cheerful instances in our sometimes mundane, day to day endeavors.
